A bit over two years ago Allison and Adam ask Expressions Photography to take their engagement and wedding photography in Knoxville, Tennessee. They were so much fun to work with. In fact a bit after they were married Expressions offered a photography workshop with master photographer Rob Heyman in Knoxville and was in need of a young couple to model. We got in touch with Adam and told him what were were doing and ask if they would be willing to take part. As always they were so willing to come and help out the photographers.
This was just the beginning to our relationship with this amazing couple. About nine months ago Allsion contacted Expressions with the exciting news that they were having a baby in the spring and ask if we would do their maturity photography and baby photography. Expressions commitment to our families is a life long commitment. So over the past few months we’ve been photographing with amazing couple, and this past week we had the joy of photographing their new son Nathan. Nathan is only 12 days old in the images but he’s already a joy to his parents.
Danah and Stan were married in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. These guys were so much fun to be with and so in love with each other. Their celebration was a family event that was enjoy by everyone…you should have seen these folks dance..they had a ball. When it was time to leave the couple were driven away in a 1925 Model T…it just doesn’t get any cooler than that. Here are a few photos from their special day.
I took a short walk along the river bank,
To enjoy the beauty of this place.
The breeze was filled with spring time scents,
The waters fresh and cool.
A pallet of color spread before me,
As I walked the banks,
My mind was refreshed, renewed, and revived,
To face the steps ahead.
—Please relax and enjoy a few moments of the peace I experienced last Friday evening–
A few weeks ago while attending WPPI I had the joy of meeting the good folks from Canvas on Demand. I was so impressed with the quality of their prints, I knew that I had to order some images from them. A couple of weeks went by and I remembered the discount code they had given me…and decided to give them a try.
I selected a photo to send, did a few edits to it and uploaded it to their site. I couldn’t believe how easy the order process was so quick, just a few clicks and the print was ready to send. Before sending the image I attached a note and asked them to check the image before printing to make sure that I had done everything right…it just seemed too easy…so I wanted to make sure I hadn’t missed something.
The next morning I got a call from Canvas on Demand, the lady on the phone was so nice. I said..”hey, so what did I do wrong on my canvas order?” She giggled and said, “Steve, your canvas is just beautiful..I’ve called for another reason. Did you see on our site that we are running a give away for an iPad?” “Sure, I said…but I didn’t pay much attention to it because I’ve never won a thing in my life.”
“Well Steve, your luck has just changed…you have won a brand new iPad.” “What!!, no way..who is this really..you’ve got to be pulling my leg…I don’t win stuff.” After I picked myself up off the floor…I realized that it was true…I really did win..ME! I won an iPad! Thank you Canvas on Demand for being so generous.
Oh, you’re wondering about the canvas I ordered? It came in just a few days after the order was placed…IT IS AMAZING! It’s the most beautiful, rich color, well constructed canvas I’ve ever seen. I’ll be sending quite a bit of work to them…they really care about the photography industry and about making their clients winners.
