It was a beautiful afternoon at a park along the river where we finally met up for create some beautiful family images. Amy came walking up with her beyond cute little girl Jenna; they were both just bubbling with smiles. Jenna and I just hit it off right away…and wow did she give wonderful hugs…she was so much fun to talk with and watch her being a little girl.

Don’t you just love watching kids and hearing them talk about their world? I gosh I do! I think that as we grow older we loose some of the wonder of the world around us…not so with little kids…everything is new, beautiful, and exciting. I suppose thats why this Knoxville wedding and family photographer enjoys photographing children; their joy and wonder just rub off on everyone around them.

It was a really cold afternoon in east Tennessee but Pam was excited about having creating some very cool portraits. We met in the historic old city part of the town and headed out looking for great locations that had amazing light. We were both amazed by all the great places. Pam lives in a wonderful little town that is full of beautiful places. Please enjoy a few of the images we created for her.

We scheduled to go out on Friday evening and do some shots in the city. Well as luck might have it…it rained and rained…I’m not talking a drizzle…I talking RAIN….

I know what you’re saying…ah that’s too bad you didn’t get to do the session. Are you kidding…we’re not going to let something like a bunch of water get in the way….WE SHOT! Not only did we create some beautiful images…we had a blast, running through the puddles, playing with umbrellas, and sitting in wet places….I hadn’t laughed so much in a long time. And once again I discovered how much fun it is to just play in the rain. Here are a few of the image from the night…I know that you will enjoy them.

I have to admit I’d never really thought much about what must have taken place that day. But today all that changed as I stepped into that plane and sat in the same seats where so many had sat before waiting to jump into unknown places and defend the freedom I so often take for granted. I stood in the very isle where Soldiers waited to parachute into battle. I can’t imagine the thoughts that must have been rushing through these men as the time came for them to stand and then jump out into the unknown.

I don’t know who you are guys but I’m so thankful that you were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice so I might enjoy Freedom today.
